Whales and Dolphins at Pearl Islands

Humpback whales visit Panama from July through September, specifically in the surroundings of Las Perlas archipelago, in order to breed and give birth in the waters around the country's Pacific Coast. Your tour begins with a ferry ride from Amador Causeway to Contadora Island, sailing out into Panama Bay. With a little luck you may even see some dolphins along the way. Once at Contadora Island, another boat is boarded as you head out to sea in search of these majestic animals, and a naturalist guide will help you to interpret their behaviour as they breach the surface. Towards the end of the tour it'll be possible to do some snorkeling while the boat stops at one of the islands, or enjoy the free time by relaxing or swimming. In the afternoon, you'll return to your hotel in the city.
