Matagalpa Coffee Tour

Coffee is one of Nicaragua's most famous exports, and during this tour you'll discover the importance of coffee for local producing communities, as well as having the chance to get involved in the process which makes Nicaraguan coffee so popular. You'll see where picking and pulping take place, followed by the process of fermentation and washing before the beans are dry processed. Your local hosts will explain how coffee influences their lives, and about the environmental, cultural and social effects of the industry. The tour ends with a delicious cup of local coffee.
